The Drug Abuse Secretariat seeks to recruit enthusiastic, responsible, committed and appropriately qualified staff to fill our current vacancy for a Senior Accountant. The following information and advice is to assist you in the preparation of your application.
POSITION SUMMARY : Supervises the accounts staff members. Prepares, examines and analyses financial information to prepare various reports for decision making while maintaining appropriate procedural standards.
Successful applications will have to demonstrate that they possess the following key competencies:
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards & project standards
- Knowledge of the operation of accounting software
- Knowledge of the operations of financial Administration and Audit Act (FAA)
- Detailed, with sound judgment and analytical skill
- High integrity standards
- Ability to maintain working relationships with other employees
- Ability to work within deadlines
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Applicants are to provide evidence that they meet the following academic qualifications:
The successful applicant should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance & Management or ACCA Level II
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in the following areas:
a. accounting, finance or auditing
b. budgeting and interpreting financial statements
c. proficiency using Peachtree Accounting Software
d. proficency using Microsoft Excel
e. preparation of financial accounts and knowledge of the accrual concept of accounting
This additional information is critical to the acceptance of your application
1. At least three (3) years experience in a supervisory position
2.Critical Thinking and Analytical Skills.
3. Experience in an audit firm (as an asset).
The salary classification and range for the position is FMG/AT2 ($693,308 to $824,125).

Remember there are no right answers on the personality assessments so answer as quickly and honestly as possible.

2. The Second Interview
3. The Work Sample Assessment
