This progamme focuses on the reaching, testing and counselling of homeless and other high risk populations in Kingston, St Ann and St James
Research has shown that there is a strong link between drug use and STI’s including HIV . In 2010 it was found that 12% of the homeless population was HIV positive and 59% of them used substances.
There was a need therefore to provide outreach services to key populations that might have reduced access to medical care including drug treatment and rehabilitation services as well as anti retro viral medication and care
This outreach programme is responsible to provide harm reduction services and link these key populations to care
